Hi, my name is Wendy Howard, and I am a Customer Service Representative at Dermatology Clinic for Animals. I am passionate about providing high-quality care and helping my patients feel comfortable and confident in their treatment.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, I love playing with my cat and I love sports. Rescue is my breed of choice, and I currently have a tortoiseshell cat named Ashado, who is one year old, lovable, and a little crazy — I love her so much.
Favorite Part of My Job
My favourite part of this work is the interactions with clients and their pets.
Why I Chose This Profession
I needed a change — something more to my heart. I love working with animals, and helping them feel better is a wonderful feeling.
Education
I earned my high school diploma from Edsel Ford High School from 1982 to 1986. I then attended Henry Ford Community College in the Honors Program from 1986 to 1987, and in 1987 I completed law enforcement training at the USAF Security Police Academy.
Work History
I served in the United States Air Force as a Security Policeman and Law Enforcement Specialist, attending the Security Police Academy at Lackland AFB before being stationed at Anderson AFB in Guam and Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio. After the military, I worked in corrections and the courts as a corrections officer, deputy court clerk, magistrate, and probation officer. I later moved into veterinary customer service, working as a CSR at BluePearl Veterinary Emergency Hospital from September 2019 to June 2022 and at Kaukauna Veterinary Hospital from July 2022 to March 2024. After relocating to Washington in June 2024 to be near my family, I worked at Mountain View Veterinary Hospital before joining Dermatology Clinic for Animals as a Customer Service Representative.
